I'll be posting new story ideas here, placing posts that are certain major points for a new take to develop. I have many of these brewing in my head, and I'll let you all know what's going in my imagination from time to time as they come to me. :]
Below is two scenes concerning two characters named Celeste and Lance. Read on to get a glimpse of this exciting adventure!

He stayed quiet as he watched around the corner of the tree. Out on the path he had previously been walking on, a real beauty appeared. The most gorgeous girl he had ever seen. She was alone, nearly seeming lost. Where did she come from? Why was she out here in the wilderness? She obviously had to be lost, for no sane person would willingly journey out this far.
The young man then slowly climbed the tree, silently, to get a better look at her. Once up in the tree, he sat there and just gazed at her. She had long, blonde hair and pale skin. Her dress expressed that her background was rich, that she was royal. However, the dark green dress seemed to have been torn. Could she have possibly wrestled against a beast and managed to escape? She then turned, as if looking around, and he caught sight of her eyes. They were stunning, an auburn shade with long black lashes. Her cheeks seemed have minor cuts, as well as the rest of her slim frame. What had happened to her? He just HAD to know!
"Excuse me... Are you lost?!"
Her eyes then darted all around her, body twirling about to find the speaker of the voice. The young man, age 20, chuckled a bit, smiling. "Up here, my lady!", he calls. The girl then stopped to gaze up into the tree. The moment she saw him, she gasped quietly. Though he wore a smile, he looked strange to her. He had blue, spiked hair and dark tan skin. His eyes were orange, highly peculiar. He wore a very tight, sleeveless black tunic and pants along with boots. On his back, a sheathed crystal broadsword. On his belt, several jeweled daggers. He appeared to be somewhat shady. Was he a thief? A murderer? Or something worse?? She backed away a bit, being cautious of him. His smile then became a small grin. "I bet you think I've been following you, huh?", he then says. "To put your mind at ease, fair maiden, I have not. In fact, I was merely minding my own business when you walked out onto this road. I was just sitting here, sharpening my sword..."
She narrows her eyes a bit on him, confused. He just gave her a charming expression, lifting his brow as he gazed at her with day-dream eyes.
"Who are you?", she asks, caution clearly heard in her voice. The young man sighs a bit sarcastically. He then wrapped his hands around a tree limb, intentionally slid off the tree, and then just hung from the limb as he answered.
"The name is Lance... And you are?" She hesitated. Knowing his name was not nearly enough to comfort her. She had been through far too much back at the palace, too much confusion. She was tired of not knowing what was going on. Besides, he was... Unusual to her. Not the sort of person she was used to seeing.
"Before I give you my name, I want to know why you're out here", the princess replies firmly. Lance then laughed as he started swinging on the branch.
"Haha! You want to know why I'M out here?!", he exclaims. "Surely you realize that it is you who doesn't belong out here in the wilderness. You have no sword, no bow and arrows, not even a knife! My lady, I'm out here because this is where I belong. I am an assassin for the king! Don't you know that this is where criminals are left so that they may face death? If the beasts out here don't finish them off, I do!"
The young lady, age 18, then went silent. Criminals were left out in the wilderness to die? She wondered. She had been ordered by King Triclos himself to go out and pick flowers for the funeral of the previous king, her father Cesil. While she was picking flowers, the palace carriage suddenly darted off without her. Could this have been intentional? Yet, what did she do that was so wrong? Even she did not know. She wasn't a criminal, not of any sort!
"You're an assassin for King Triclos?", she then asks. Lance, narrowing his orange eyes a bit, then stopped swinging as he nodded. "You kill people that are left out here in the wilderness? These people are criminals, you say??" The assassin then tilts his head, forming a somewhat confused look.
"Yes... Why? Does that frighten you??", Lance questions. She then took a deep breath, and started explaining everything.
"I am Princess Celeste...", she answers. "My father was King Cecil, he has recently passed away. A new king, Triclos, then came to power. My father's funeral is tomorrow, and King Triclos sent me out in a carriage to gather flowers for the event. While I was picking the flowers, the carriage suddenly ran off without me. I'm afraid I've been intentially left out here, and I have no idea why. If what you say is true, then I am being marked as criminal..."
At that moment, out of shock, Lance let go of the tree branch. Celeste gasps as he landed roughly on his back. Yet, he was soon leaning up, gazing at her with stunned eyes.
"What?!", he shouts. "Y-You..were left out here?!" Celeste nods slowly, her auburn eyes expressing great worry. The young man then stood up, pulling out his broadsword. "Princess Celeste, is that correct? I am an assassin for the king. If you were left out here, it was by his orders. I would prefer not to kill such a beautiful dame, but I am paid to deal with criminals. Therefore, I cannot spare you. Besides, if I did, that would make me a criminal as well for disobeying..." He then closed his eyes briefly, and then they flew open as a glare on her. "It's time to die!"
Lance then dashed towards her, massive blade ready to slice her in two. Celeste gasped in fear and then quickly turned to run away. Yet, before her, was the beast that attacked her before. The giant boar, squealing, then prepared to charge at her with its mighty tusks. She screamed and immediately ran off down the road, barely escaping Lance that was behind her. The assassin, still in a full force run, then slammed right into the snout of the hog. He missed the tusks, but his middle had crashed directly into the nose of the huge creature. He moaned in pain, only able to rest there on the beast for a moment. Only a moment. The boar then squealed again, tossing Lance forward with a jerk of its snout. He landed on the ground, again, roughly.
As the hog got ready to attack, Lance slowly got to his feet, gripping his abdomen. Of course, he did this briefly, and then lifted his broadsword to battle. And he'd be sure to make it a quick one so he could catch Celeste. "C'mon, oinker, show me what you got!" The massive pig then charged at him, full-speed ahead. Right when it was about to collide with the young man, he dodged to the side and brought his blade down upon its neck. With his strength and force, he brought it down instantly. He pulled his treasured sword out of the animal and then began to go after Celeste.
However... He stopped after a few steps. The assassin then thought to himself. King Triclos sent the princess to pick flowers, and the carriage left her. It seemed intentional, but what was her crime? She seemed to be a nice enough gal. Whatever could she have done to anger the new king? Or... Did she not do anything? There was something suspicious going on, and it was worth finding out. Of course, he'd have to question her in depth, and find out everything that had happened before Triclos came into power. With his decision made, he then went back to the boar. With his mighty sword, he cut into the chest of the pig and ripped out its heart. Placing it in a sack, he then carried it with him to act as proof that he killed the princess. He then climbed the tree had previously been in, jumped limb to limb, and made his way after her in the treetops.
"Phew! That was close..."
Celeste then slowed down, finding herself safe from harm. Not only that, but even more lost. Though in a previous panic, she still managed to run down the same road she met Lance on in this first place. At least she was heading in the right direction. Well, sort of. She was no longer in safe grounds, no where near the palace. And, unfortunately, it was the new king's fault that she was out here. What did she do that was so wrong though? Even she did not know!
"Well... I guess I'm on my own now", Celeste tells herself. "No more palace, no more rich lifestyle. I've been announced as a criminal. And since I'm not dead yet, every guard from the palace will be looking for me. Oh, what I am going to do? I can't live out here! I'm a princess!!"
Suddenly, she heard something rattling. Yet, where was it coming from? She looked all around, but couldn't find its source. And, plus, it was SO close. A figure then leaped down from a tree above, landing directly in front of her. It was Lance! He slowly pulled out his broadsword, able to wield it with one hand alone.
"You know, for a criminal, you're not very good at hiding!"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Scoffing out of irritation, she then sat down on the hill roughly. The princess was not used to her desires being cast aside, nor being told off by a common person. She then sighed heavily. Her companion was right about her, just as much as she was right about him. Being royal, she was all of the things he said she was: posh, demanding, spoiled and thought highly of herself. At least she was able to admit her flaws--unlike him. And was it really too much to ask for his past? Afterall, she had shared her past with him. It wasn't fair! He acted like it was too important for her to know, like he special or something. Maybe that was it. Maybe he was more than what she thought...
Celeste then slowly turned to look back at him. Lance was fast asleep, resting against the tree trunk. That was awfully fast. Of course, with a full stomach, and being next to a warm fire, no wonder he drifted off in seconds. That was good that he was asleep, though. It gave her a chance to take a look through his things. Maybe, just maybe, she'd find something that'd give her an idea about his past. Yes, she was going to go through his personal property. She didn't feel good about that, but she wanted to know! Curiosity was just killing her inside!!
Celeste slowly got up and walked over to him. Leaning against the side of the trunk where he slept was his sheathed crystal broadsword and sack of belongings. The princess quietly kneeled down and took the sack, beginning to look through it. There was all sorts of jewels inside along with a few daggers and a book inside. A book? She took the tattered book out and flipped through a few of the pages. Her eyes glittered as she discovered what it was about. His past. This was a journal! Celeste then placed the sack back and took the book over to the hill she had been sitting at before. There was no time to hesitate. She wanted to read it! ALL OF IT!!
The princess laid down on the hill and turned towards the fire, letting the light reveal the writing of Lance. Now that she was comfortable, she was ready to read. Of course, not before glancing at the assassin one last time to check if he was still asleep. Having gotten away with taking his journal, she then began reading within her mind.
Day 1
Dear Journal,
I bought you from an old friend of mine at the village I used to live in. That's right, I'm your new owner now. I'll be writing in you every chance I get--I promise! Well, now that you're with me, allow me to introduce myself. I'm Lance, a hard working miner. I've worked from dawn 'til dusk in the Crystal Mines for 2 years now, slaving away to gather valuable crystal stones and precious gems. I suppose it's obvious. Yeah, I'm still in poverty, and there's no sign of it ending anytime soon.
Well, let me tell you about today since I'm finally on a break. Here at the Crystal Mines, early in the day, I overheard the guards say something about a valuable treasure. A treasure deep inside the mines. Usually we miners find all kinds of unique stones and jewels in here, but this news sure is interesting. All day I've been wondering what it could possibly be. It must be worth more than a whole handful of diamonds! The mining staff will be given limitation orders tomorrow, I heard. You can bet that I went as far as I could today with my pickaxe. I was digging craters in the walls of the tunnel, searching for what no other has come across yet. Me greedy? What did you expect? Give me a break, journal, I'm poor!
Listen, when the dawn comes again, only the guards will be able to go farther in. Whatever that treasure is, if found, it will be sent to the king over these lands. That would be King Cecil, I believe. A nice enough guy, but there's no way I'm giving it to a man that's rich enough to buy us 20 miners as slaves! I'll be keeping it for myself. I've been planning to go deeper in all day just to find that treasure. I get paid very little, and I'm surrounded by jewels ALL the time. Those shiny little gems get taken from us miners by the guards, we're not allowed to keep what we find. I'm getting sick and tired of that. You know what? I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna go deeper in and find that treasure! It'll be all I need to find my freedom!!
Wish me luck, journal! I'll write back tomorrow!!

Day 4
Dear Journal,
Well... You'll never guess where I am now. I'm out in the wilderness. The wilderness! Yeah, the frightening area that covers much of the west and south of the kingdom. Strangely, I'm not scared at all. In fact, anyone else that ventures out here should be scared of me. Let me explain. A lot has happened to me today...
After exiting the Crystal Mines, I was jumped by three guards. It seemed they had noticed I was gone for two days. Well, I thought they were going to take the treasure I found, but they didn't. Instead, you know what happened? They took me to the kingdom. No, not to be throw in the dungeon. I was taken to meet King Cecil! Yeah, me! I can't describe to you how honored I felt. The entire time, Cecil was very polite to me and thought nothing ill of me for taking the treasure. In fact, he even let me keep it! This dazzling crystal broadsword is MINE! Not only that, but he gave me a better paying job. Guess what I am? I'm an assassin. That's right, I take care of those pesky criminals out here in the wilderness. I'm perfect for the job--or so he told me.
All right, all right, maybe I'm being too optimistic about being an assassin. Killing people isn't going to be joy, but at least I'll get paid well. You know what being paid well means? I'll be able to get myself new clothing, plenty of food and also save up enough money for the people in my old village--especially my friend who sold you to me in the first place. I promise, journal, that I won't be stingy. I am a very generous person, I've just never had the money to give!
Anyways... I'm getting pretty hungry, so I suppose I should go out and hunt for a bit. After I have my first real meal in 2 years, I'll find a tree to sleep in. I'll write more tomorrow, journal.
